Epiphanies seem to happen all too seldom in our busy lives: that moment of revelation and insight where some everyday experience moves you from darkness into light.

As Truro College students near the end of their studies, each one has, in their own way been on this journey of discovery. For some the intuition surrounds that moment the shutter is pressed, for others it is the culmination of a sustained and methodical look at the world they are beginning to shape and inform.

The selection of work presented in this exhibition is a testament to their hard work and determination as they explore, understand and communicate something of themselves and their experiences through photography. The work ranges from sports photography to fashion, and from documentary to abstraction. In music, it is said that an epiphany occurs where the words and music ‘speak to you’, becoming more than the sum of their parts.
