Wheelchair Access

The buildings at Art Centre Penryn have steps from the public pavement and into the buildings. Until we can make the whole site fully wheelchair accessible through the next stage of the building works, we are using temporary ramps to improve wheelchair accessibility.

Mobility Scooter Access

Temporary ramps provide mobility scooter access to the outside of the buildings, but the narrow entrance-way does not allow for a mobility scooter to enter the building.

Nearest car park

Saracen Car Park on Saracen Place

From the car park, cross the road via dropped curbs and follow the pavement onto The Terrace to the front gates of the chapel building.

The Chapel building

Access to the chapel building is via The Terrace. The Terrace is wheelchair accessible via the pavement from Saracen Place.

We are currently using temporary ramps to improve wheelchair access. Please see the photographs here and contact us on info@artcentrepenryn.org for more information and to plan your visit.

The chapel WC has grab rails and space to transfer from a wheelchair. Some of the doorways are narrow, please refer to the dimensions on the photographs here.

The School Room building

Unfortunately the three steps into the School Room are too steep for a temporary ramp and therefore we apologise that it is not currently wheelchair accessible.
